Name: Daniel Truman
Age: 27
Nationality: British
I am a British racing driver based in Bedfordshire, I have raced since the age of 11 competing in rental
karting including BRKC and Club 100 achieving strong results throughout. After taking a year out I
returned to racing in 2022 taking part in the Team HARD scholarship resulting in myself being offered a
race drive in the Britcar Trophy championship and also a place on their drivers academy that season. For
2023 I decided to set up my own race team, competing in the mini Challenge Clubsport championship
running as an independent in the cooper class and with 5 race wins and 14 podiums we finished as vice
champion in class only missing out by 3 points.
I pride myself on being a member of the LGBTQ+ community and I work with Racing Pride as a
community champion raising awareness and positivity both with my racing and at events around the
country. I am also a Crohns disease sufferer and I am aiming to show that nothing can hold you back and
going forward I hope to spread further awareness and positivity for others who may be suffering from the
disease. with big ambitions and a strong commitment to maximising my on and off track performance
and reach the pinnacle of British motorsport, the British Touring Car Championship.
