Daniel Truman

Age: 30
Nationality: British
Based: Bedfordshire, United Kingdom

Daniel Truman is a British racing driver with a lifelong passion for motorsport, having competed since the age of 11. Beginning his career in rental karting, Daniel built extensive experience in highly competitive championships including the BRKC and Club100, achieving consistently strong results throughout his early racing career.

After taking a short break from competition, Daniel returned to motorsport in 2022 and entered the Team HARD Scholarship programme. His performances earned him both a race drive in the Britcar Trophy Championship and a place within the Team HARD Drivers Academy.

In 2023, Daniel launched his own independent race team, Daniel Truman Racing, competing in the MINI Challenge Clubsport Championship in the Cooper Class. Operating as a self-run independent team, Daniel enjoyed an exceptional debut season, securing 5 race victories and 14 podium finishes to become Vice Champion, narrowly missing the title by just three points.

Daniel and Daniel Truman Racing returned stronger than ever in 2025, delivering a dominant championship-winning campaign with 11 race wins and 13 podiums from 15 races, securing the Cooper Class title in impressive fashion.

Away from the track, Daniel is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and works alongside Racing Pride as a Community Champion, helping to promote inclusivity, awareness, and positivity within motorsport and at events across the country.

Daniel also lives with Crohn’s disease and is committed to showing that challenges do not define limitations. Through both his racing career and public platform, he aims to inspire others and raise awareness for those living with the condition.

With ambitious goals, a relentless work ethic, and a commitment to maximising both on-track performance and off-track impact, Daniel’s long-term objective is to reach the pinnacle of British motorsport — the British Touring Car Championship.
